Some years ago my awning kissed a mountain and I had to shorten it 4 feet... That involved removing the fabric, cutting the damaged part off the roller, cuttting the fabric, re-sewing one hem, and re-installing.

Folks ask "How did you get it so straight?


I reached into my tool box, and got out the Chalk Line reel I used to use roofing back in the 1970s. and ... Marked it.

You know, with many things involving repairs like,this, it really does come down to not being "askeered" to try!

Our travel trailer didn't have fabric on the roller when we got it last year. My grandson and I replaced the fabric in a couple of hours. More of a chore sliding the fabic into the channel. Tje rest was pretty straightforward. God bless
