Drinking Water Hose Storage
Where does everyone store their drinking water hose? I like to keep it completely separate from everything else but when I put it in its own tub with a lid it gets mildew/mold.

You could try joining the ends together.

We've always done that too. We just roll it up, join the ends, and put something around it to hold it in the roll -- velcro strap or whatever. Putting it in something else just takes more room; we don't have a lot of that.

I always put the ends together and then I spritz the hose with a 10% bleach and water solution before I put it in the tub with a lid and a drilled a couple holes in the lid so it could vent and dry

If I'm understanding your question. Coil the hose up, then take the female end of the hose and attach it to the male end of the hose. I usually wrap a Velcro strap around it to keep it from uncoiling in the basement.

I put my fresh water hose in a mesh bag so it can air out.

After I am done with the hose I lay it out flat, then pick up one end and drain it as I coil it (imagine coiling it up on an extension cord reel, just use your hands and not a reel).
This drain process gets 99% of the water out of the hose. Then I take the air compressor hose and blow a blast of air through the hose. That blows out a little more water.
Then I screw the ends together, and put two velcro ties around the hose (180 degrees apart on the coil). Then the hose goes into a tub that also has a few extra fresh water items (a 4-way hose bib key, a baggie with a few rubber hose washers, a water filter canister handle, a couple of water filter cartridge inserts, a spare water filter o-ring, etc).

I keep my black hose, air hoses, and drinking hoses in separate round plastic Christmas wreath containers. Three for $20 or so on Amazon. Kinda bulky but not a problem in my pickup.

I just coil ours up, screw the ends together, and throw it into the right slide out compartment. The little 25 footers coil up nicely without need for velcro straps or ties to hold it in place. No special containers, no bags,,, nothing. Have never had an issue with mold or mildew, even when I've had to store it wet after a rain. Going on 20 years and the compartment still looks new inside.
Edited to add: Ptook86, you'll probably be good to go if you nix the lid.

I use ZeroG hoses, coiled in a Rubbermaid tote, ends screwed together. Once a year, I run a bleach solution through them.

This. And then I store it along with the fresh water filer and anything else germain to FRESH WATER in its own box.

I like to use quick connect fittings for all my hose, nozzles, etc.
I also have one of those 6" spring connectors with a quick connect only on the male end. I can easily & quickly adapt to situations requiring different lengths to connect.
