I would suspect this is happening at home - probably kids or a disgruntled neighbor. I would remove the cap when you are parked at home. Then after emptying the tank add a lot of blue food coloring to the water you leave in the tank. Next time it gets pulled someone's sneakers are gonna get a dye job. If they know enough to not open the valve you win.

Drill a hole through that bracket and put a padlock through the hole and around the handle.
Or electrify the handle and let the vandal get the shock of his/her life!

I was thinking the same thing. We use to use ignition coils on our car doors as a cheap burglar alarm. I'm sure youtube will have several how to videos. Liquid and/or solid waste would be spilled but not from your black tank

I had this happen the last trip. Fortunately it was the gray tank and I spotted it before I removed the cap. Now I keep a twist on valve on there so even if they try it there will be almost nothing past the valve.

At least pulling dump valves is not as mischievous as some young kids in small town Saskatchewan moving outhouses 3 feet back on Halloween night. Not that I would have ever done that but just sayin.

How about a game camera from Cabela's to catch them in the act?

Does anyone have a mod idea to keep idle hands away from them when unattended?
If it's happened twice, I'm betting it's at your house and the same person both times. Maybe leave them a surprise on the backs of the handles. They may pull them one more time, but ........

I think the situation is more rare than hens teeth, but if I was concerned I would install electric dump valves.

I think it's very rare as well. That's why I think if it's happened twice it was likely at the same place by the same person -- maybe a mischievous kid.

Maybe I'm missing something. On my DS the water cabinet, where the dump handle are located, the doors have locks on them. If you don't have the key you can't get to the dump handles.

Pretty simple fix really. Install one of these:

https://www.amazon.com/Valterra-T58-...QAN0508B08MDG6

There will never be more than a small cup full downstream of the valve and whats upstream does not matter as it's behind the valve.

I've installed one on mine and poof......no more surprises.

It's a travel trailer - the dump valves are exposed to anyone who feels like pulling them.

If it is a neighbor it would probably be best for everyone that I don't find out.
