My tape job is cracking (It is real eternabond) it lasted about 9 years! It is cracking at different locations around the roof. I noticed the outer surface starting to peel in some areas but now it looks like I have full thickness cracking in numerous locations and peeling in some others.

I won't bother calling eternabond for the warranty.

At least I know what one of my winter projects will be.

Hey Mike,

I'm the original poster of this thread. I did some more investigative work, and discovered that when I ordered the Eternabond, a couple rolls of non-Eternabond branded tape had been included. I guess they ran out of the real stuff, and counted on me not noticing. Well, it worked, and I wound up using the imitation stuff.
I ordered more Eternabond for this project, and confirmed that it was the real stuff when it arrived. I reworked this joint, as well as sealing around all of the vents, skylight, etc. on the roof, and haven't had any cracking at all. it's been almost 10 years, now.

Gosh, and I was about to go strip off the Eternabond I put on the seams two years ago.

Actually, I go next week for a new roof...the original Dicor roof material had a bad batch for about 4-5 years and I got lucky. I noticed the deterioration before I got a leak.

Going to try FlexArmor this time.
