Have a great weekend , and stay safe out there .

Don't live it up to the point where you can't live it down.

It's relaxing to think we don't have to worry about holiday weekends any more, since we sold out rig last winter. Overall cost of ownership and operation just got beyond our means.

As retirees, we tended to avoid the holiday weekends by not leaving home until about noon on the last day. We would get to our selected CG just after all the families with school-age kids had left and we had a good choice of sites. This is a good strategy for us older folks!

Knowing when to end the RV chapter of our lives is something we all will face. This grumpy old man has several more years in him and can go when and where he wants till that time comes. Staying home on the busy weekends by those that can, is an act of kindness to those that can't.

We did a boating weekend instead of an RVing weekend for Labor Day, and stayed in a motel. Did not want to deal with a campground on a holiday weekend - dealing with the crowd at the boat launch was stressful enough. Towing back home today we saw several RV's broken down on the side of the road, though, and wondered if the high temperatures were a factor.
