Exterior light issue

I have a 1996 Prowler TT and when I bought it, I could have sworn all the lights were working correctly. Now, when I hook it up to my vehicle, 7 pin connector, I have only 2 side front clearance lights working, and when the headlights are on, nothing else is working, no taillights, nothing, just those 2 front clearance lights. When I put the turn signals on, both taillights blink. When I step on the brake, the brake lights DO come on, when I turn the hazards on, the taillights blink also. The harness from the TT looks like someone has done some repair to it, I'm wondering if a connection came loose and is throwing things off? I haven't had a chance to check the harness yet, plan on doing that tonight along with all the bulbs to make sure they are all still good and not burnt.

Thoughts?

It sounds like you have a wiring issue within the trailer wiring itself. Even though you have a 7 pin connector, there are only 4 wires required to run all of your lights.
When you turn your headlights on in the tow vehicle, that should send voltage to light your tail lights and running lights. The running lights are operating so you need to trace that wire back to the tail lights and find the break.
Brake and turn signals seem to work OK. You may have additional wires connected for the brakes on the TT.

*****UPDATE****

So I believe I have a bad ground. The ground form the TT harness goes into a spot under the TT and then from there, it is spliced together with another ground wire that goes to a spot on the frame. In that same splice there is another ground wire(I believe) that goes to, I don't know where. I'm going to clean up the spot where the original ground is on the frame, looks rusty, and see what happens. If that doesn't work, can I cut the ground wire from the TT harness and connect it directly to another spot on the frame, or can I bolt it directly to the negative post on the battery? I have attached a couple of pic, the 1st picture is where the ground from the harness enters the TT and where it's spliced into another wire which goes to the frame. The 2nd picture is of where it attaches to the frame.

It also looks like you have a yellow wire that probably got chewed by whatever rodent made that nest in your wiring. Yellow is used for one of the turn signals. Maybe you should look for where it used to hook to.

I thought that at first also, but it's for back up lights which the camper does not have.

If that yellow wire is coming out of the pigtail that hooks to the truck it is for the left turn and brake light per the standard wiring code. Light green would be the backup lights.

This is from the manual of the TT.

Seems like the standard changed in the last 25 years.

I would not trust the color code, I usually start with a blank template and a multimeter and draw it out as I test it unless you can clearly see the connectors and the wiring into it.
If you are going to mess with the ground, and it could use it, you are going to have a lot of clean up to do, I would recommend getting new crimp eye lugs and Stainless steel hardware to replace the bolt, nut and washers. A bit of no-ox would be a nice touch as well.
If that doesn’t solve if, trace the wires from the front running lights looking for bad crimps, damage exec.

So I changed all the bulbs and now I have front clearance/running lights, but no back clearance/running lights. Still have brake lights and the taillights flash when I put a turn signal on, still. I have enclosed a wire diagram from the owners manual, for reference and any information. Thank you all again.
