My guess is that the color is in the gel coat, the first layer sprayed into the mold.
I found that if its not to bad, you can clean it and coat it with ZEP floor polish from Home Depot... I used the white 3M buff pad, and lightly cleaned mine, using a common wash detergent and warm water, rinsed with warm water and let dry...
Using a damp rag lightly run on at least 6 coats of the polish... if you put it on until to runs it will leave dark streaks you can't get off without starting the process all over... let each application dry, usually 20 min or so.. the polish has an UV protect ant in the polish and I wash my unit at least 3 times a year..
After the first 18 months it still shined and at about 24 months it was starting to fad so I applied another 3 or 4 coats after a good wash.. and the shine came back...
If you have the gel coat damaged so that it now is not the same color all over, not just dull and flat the way mine was, you're going to have to paint it.... If your close the YUMA there is a guy in Mexico who will look at your unit in the parking lot of the Casino and later take it to Mexico for the prep and paint work.
I can't remember his name but the motor home guys love him... 1/3 the price of a US paint job and all that I've read are very happy...
BTW I read about the ZEP polish on this site...
