(CBS/AP) The Federal Emergency Management Agency will keep selling and donating surplus disaster-relief trailers despite concerns from environmental groups and the start of testing to determine whether the trailers have unhealthy levels of formaldehyde, the agency said.

Gee, Almost begs the question, why didn't the manufacturers disclose that the TRAVEL TRAILER is not designed nor constructed for months/years of continual occupation, but intermittent use. I guess the out gassing also serves as a motivation for the "poor, poor" NO's residents who were coasting under the mistaken impression the Feds are obligated to bail them out of a life time of poor choices for the remainder of their "poor, poor" lives. "How did the mayor and state legislature spend all those years of federally funded improvement to the levy system?" seems to be a more legitimate question.

JMHO.

geuss no body ever read the owners manual of the RV's Mine states to let it air out if unpleasing odors are noticed.

we vented ours for about 2 weeks and no it just smells like US and HOME

wnder if these folks ever got carpet that off gassed a few weeks in a stationary house before???
