Has anyone had any experiences with any of these or any other Fleetwood models that I can pull with my 7200 lb capacity Tundra. I only have a 128" wheelbase. Of course I want all the conveniences of home. The size and weight seem just fine for my truck and the models 240FQS and 240RKS seem to be maybe just the one. I have had 4 new trailers in 7 years and always seem to find something I don't like. The 240RKS seems to be a little more to my liking. It seems to have the dining table amd also kitchen counter space. I'd like to hear from someone that has had experience with these models or I'll take suggestions of any you think you liked best.

I had a Fleetwood Wilderness about 10 years ago. It was well built and I had no problems with it. If the 240RKS is a Rear Kitchen, as the RK tends to suggest, does the trailer have (or have an option for) shock absorbers? If it is an option get them. Without them you may find that items in the cabinets may shift around when driving from trailer bounce. I had a rear kitchen model with shocks and neer had a problem. A friend didn't have the shocks and did have issues.

Any Fleetwood towable should now be available at rock bottom prices - and probably will not hold their value long. Your track record of 4 TTs in 7 years is not good - esp if you bought new rigs. I am not sure what you found wrong with the other 4 - but I hope you now have your act together and can find a unit that suits your style.

As pointed out - units with rear kitchens do tend to bounce the stuff in the cupboards more than a side kitchen. As for build quality, I have seen both good and ugly from Fleetwood - you really have to carefully look over the unit you are buying - Look in every nook and cranny - look for signs of water leakage - look inside the cabinets on the floor and see if you can see any light from outdoors. These are just a few of the things I have found on new units on the lot.

Again it is hard to advise you on floorplans without knowing what you liked and disliked on your previous TTs.

To match your Toyota's WB I would limit your overall length to something less than 26' - as long as the weight is OK. One quick test I use for checking WTs is to find the GCWR of the truck and subtract the GVWR of the truck from it - what remains is the GVWR of you TT. There are exceptions, but this keeps the numbers honest.

What engine do you have in the Tundra? It sounds like you have the smaller 4.7 V-8 like my 4-Runner has. I think the 5.7 can handle 10,400 lbs. I pull a 24' hybrid weighting about 4500 to 4700 lb wet. I use just a anti-sway bar. With my shorter wheelbase I wouldn't want to go anywhere near the 7200 limit. You might want to look at the Aerolite's because of their lighter weights.
