Furrion AC concern
Spending the first night in our 242RL.....seems like the Furrion AC is short cycling. Not familiar with this brand should, is it supposed to cycle constantly?

What kind of thermostat and what are you indoor and outdoor temperatures? Make sure the unit is not blowing directly on the thermostat. Also, is the fan set to auto or continuous fan? Is the compressor coming on and how long does it operate?

Thermostat is by Furrion. tech at Lazy days advised Furrion installed the temperature sensor for the thermostat inside the return. Soon as compressor kicks in and cold air starts blowing, the thermostat thinks it is the ambient temp of the room and then signals the compressor to shut off, thinking the set temp has been reached.

Theyve talked with Furrion, no fix available yet. The tech threaded the sensor through the filter so it is now hanging down into the room. Hopefully it'll get aore accurate reading now.
Fan is currently set to low. It does work better with the sensor hanging down but looks tacky.

Sounds like you may have some supply air reaching the sensor or a faulty sensor.

The sensor mounted in the return air? That does not sound right. The sensor should be mounted in the room to sense room temperature. These units usually have a freeze sensor mounted in the evaporator coil. Is the tech not familiar with a freeze sensor?
Do you have a wall thermostat or is it a unit with controls in the ceiling at the unit?

ditto, Return air temperature should be room air temperature.....it's common for some HVAC equipment to use return air temps as room air temp.

On these designs you need to have air movement over the sensor to know room temperature in the unit inlet.
