If I needed ST tires, I'd sure look at the new Goodyears!

Question: At what groove is tred depth measured? I've always measured in the middle. New tire guy measures on the edge.

>"Can I ask you what they cost? My 5er runs 235/85 16 E on the west coast at American Tire 4 of them out the door cost $932.87 that includes $99 for road hazard warranty. The base tire price is $175 each before tax and everything else they add."

Tire rack has them for $157. Dunno about shipping to your location.

I just paid 144 per tire (base price of tire) as they price matched a lower price I found on the web in addition to that they had a $100 mail in rebate on a set of 4 tires purchased between x date and x date. Which worked out to be $119 per tire
This was size 235/80/16 from Discount Tire

On most tires there is a small triangle at edge of tread. You can measure groove depth in any groove across the tread.

The Endurance is the only USA-made ST tire on the market and have only been available since January or so. If they are warranted to include damage to the trailer caused by a tire failure, they may be a better choice than Sailuns on the larger applications. It'll be interesting to see if the Endurance holds up over the long run because it's long past time to have better choices in ST tires.

The Jayco Jay Flight I'm scheduled to pick up Friday has the new Goodyear Endurance tires in 15" and I believe LRD.

Jayco went with the Endurance tires as soon as they became available from Goodyear. They are a $385 mandatory option.

Jayco charging extra for good tires is sad. They sold 1,000's of trailers with tires they paid very little for and customers suffered.

Nice way for Jayco to make an extra $385 profit on every RV

After careful consideration, I decided to replace the Trailer King tires on my TT with the Goodyear Endurance tires (ST205/75R 14).
I requested online quotes from three local tire shops (two independent and one major brand).
I was surprised by the responses (or lack of) I got back.
One local neighborhood store didn't bother to reply ( and they are always advertising on TV how customer friendly they are). Discount Tire and Brake wanted $615 for 4 tires, installed + tax, but it would be a special order and would take a week or so to get them.
A Goodyear outlet told me that the Endurance tires were "not available " to them and if they were they would be $137 each + tax.
So, I went online to Tire Rack and their price ended up being $107 per tire which included the shipping cost.
I purchased them from Tire Rack on a Wednesday and they were delivered to my door the following Wednesday ( which was great considering the 4 of July weekend was in between).
Today I had them mounted, including high pressure valve stems for less than $60.
So for less than $500 I'm good to go.

LandKO, you are really going to like the Endurance tires. That was a good price you got from Tire Rack. I paid $108 + tax per tire (4 ST205/75R14) at Discount Tire in Virginia Beach VA. This included mounting, balancing, and high pressure stems. Seems that a lot of dealers haven't gotten the word about how great these tires are or they just want to get rid of their Chinese stock first.

Were looking at the Timber Ridge trailers where the Goodyear Endurance tires come standard. I sure hope there are no issues like the Goodyear Marathons had back in the mid-2000's.

Would love to hear updates as you all put miles on the new Endurance tired. Watching the forums on this topic and hope they perform well for folks. If so, will probably go that route as well.

Made another trip to east Texas over the 4th. They ran fine. I don't think we will hear much about the Endurance tires unless folks start having troubles with them. So far I haven't read one bad comment about them and I read a lot concerning RVs.
