Grand Design Quality? Any Imagine 2970RL Owners?

Hi, we had been thinking of a Class C MH but went to a RV Show at St Louis a couple weekends ago. Went through many Class C's that were there and was actually kind of disappointed in them. THEN for the heck of it we wondered into a Grand Design Imagine 2970RL. Wow!!!! It was love!!! Wife loved the floor plan and the amenities. Loved the kitchen island, basement storage and large bathroom especially.
How is the Grand Designs in quality? Compared to high end Jayco's? The money to buy a good quality Class C and buying a Grand Design with a Ford F-250 Gasser is close to the same. How are the West Lake tires that Grand Design uses? Chinese tires scare me.

How's the best way to carry and use a inverter gen with a p/u and TT? Is a back hitch platform a possible? I would worry about using a gen in the open like that in bad weather.

We nearly the identical trailer, Reflection 297RSTS. We love the layout too. So far the quality is on par with other trailers we have owned. Haven't owned Jayco but have had a Rockwood and so far on par with that. I have heard that GD stands behind their product very well. Have not had to use that yet and hopefully don't have to. Check out the Grand Design owners forum for a lot more info. Some of the bigger trailers had issues with Westlake until GD up'd the load ratings from E to G.
