Great deal or is it?

We just lost our TT due to storm damage and have been looking to buy again and just don;t know which way to go, used or new. I recently found a 2014 White Hawk that was for sale for the price of 7500. TT was in very good condition however it had been up on blocks for over 2 years and had been sitting outside the whole time. Even though it looked like the steal of the decade I could not find myself wanting to buy it. My wife said I was a fool for not buying it but I have been a fool before. I ask the owner why he was selling so cheap and he said he was losing money by letting it set in his driveway. I see the same white hawk all over the web for 14-15 thousand. I turned his offer down so did i just make a collossal mistake? The main reason I balked was he would not allow me to take it to a someone who could inspect it. Just wanted to hear from all my buds on what I did wrong or did i do the right thing.

Would he allow an on-site inspection? Maybe the tags/insurance were expired.

No inspection, no purchase. However, I can understand him not wanting to let it go somewhere. But I would have shelled out a bit of green to have an on-site inspection done.
