I usually see two vents on the top of RV roofs .. If you're correct, what's the other vent for?

Well the results are in and it is one of the knockouts from the hole saw. You can see in the one picture water running through the drill hole when it plugs the pipe. I tried using a mechanical finger to try and snare it but if I had got it I would have went right out and bought a lottery ticket. Any ideas?

Here is a picture of the piping, does the piece that is at the tank with the hose clamp slide out?

My guess would be that it does, but “slide out” implies it would be easy and I’m not so sure of that. The presence of a clamp and the grey sealant seems to indicate that is a removable fitting, but I’m no expert. If this was my problem, I’d try to remove the pipe at the clamp.

Snag it with the finger, then a coat hanger thru the drilled center hole....and if necessary, jack the trailer up to help bring it over your way....

Still under warranty, make them fix it. Make sure they give it you so you know it actually came out.

If you dig it out, you'll probably have to cut a pipe somewhere that you can get a hand on it. It's no big deal to do so and would be a lot easier and quicker than doing a warranty claim. If you can't get a hand on it, can you get some glue on it and let it glue itself to the bottom of the tank? I don't know if that's the best idea but it is an idea. Maybe last resort.

Cutting a pipe then this maybe? Or something like it?

And I thought I was the first one to say this might be it but Ljwt330 was, so no prize for me today. However my vacation does start today so that's good enough for me.

Well I got it out, feel much better, did not want to take it to a dealer. I contacted Forest River and talked to a guy who got with the guys that build them and they told me how to get it out. Some great guys and can't thank them enough. Just have to clean it and put it back together. I want to thank everyone for there input as well.

Wow - great job fixing your own trailer!!![emoji106]

This way you can make sure it goes back together right and probably better than the factory.
