Grey water tank

First trip out in our TT. One night left of a two night trip. Grey water tank is already 2/3 full. No showers taken yet, just dish washing and hand washing. Is the grey tank smaller? Ideas?

First, the OEM tank level indicators are notoriously famous for not reading correctly. That said, you should have an owners manual containing tank capacities, or sales brochure. Another resource is the internet. Go to your mfgrs. website, find your model trailer, then click specs for this information. It is impossible for me or anyone else to answer your question without knowing your make/model/ year for your trailer. I can say the grey water tank is probably no larger than your fresh water tank. What does it say for liquid level?

We need to know the capacity of your gray water tank.

It doesn't take long to fill a grey tank. I have found that ours consistently fills faster than the black tank. A few showers, some dish washing...and she's stuffed!

One night of dishes and hands and thats it? Something is wrong there unless you left the water running the whole time while doing a lot of dishes.

I'm going to check it out on our next trip in two weeks. I think the indicator is off.

One other thing since it was your first trip. Are you sure the tank was completely empty to begin with?

I can attest to the factory level indicators not working correctly. After the second day of a four day trip this last weekend my indicators said the black tank was full. We had four adults and four childeren with us so I thought it could be possible, i had drank a lot of beer! ;-). LOL. So I unhook and go to the dump station, hook it up and pull the lever, after about 4 seconds nothing was flowing and it was empty. Obviously not full.
