Happy Evergreen Owners?

I’m hoping to hear from some happy Evergreen owners. My husband and I just purchased a 2017 I-Go Pro 235rb and are scheduled to pick it up from the dealer next weekend. I usually research everything to death, but of course this was the one time I didn’t. Had no idea until after the purchase that the company had closed its doors. We got what I feel was a good price on a camper that appears to be in pristine like new condition, but most of the reviews I’ve found online for Evergreen products have been less than stellar. I’d love to hear something positive...anything really...to ease my fear that I may have made a mistake with this purchase.

If you have not taken possession you should be able to back out of the purchase. Calmly explain to them that they were less than forthcoming about the trailer being an orphan leaving you with no factory support and would not have purchased had you known.

I would not be afraid of buying an orphan trailer!
My wife and I have a 2012 Evergreen Element with over 88,000 miles on it. Have we had "issues? Well. yeah! But we use ours! It doesn't sit in the storage lot very long.

Most of what Evergreen (and other manufacturers) put in their products are outsourced: Refrigerators, stoves, microwaves, furnaces, etc. The only thing Evergreen built was the "box" everything went into.

Good to hear! After much discussion, hubby and I are going to take a leap of faith. It appears to be in excellent condition and, as you said, most of items can be fixed or replaced. There are no dings, scratches, stains, etc. i also think that most reviews are posted by people who are unhappy, not by the people who are satisfied. I think any line can produce a lemon, so hopefully we we get lucky.

It would take a pretty steep discount to not be able to call the factory when I needed a wall framing schematic or plumbing layout drawing. Dealers are terrible to work with, factory support was a major factor in my decision. Good luck with yours, hope you got a good one.

We bought a new I-GO Pro 293rk in March of 16. In June they closed their doors. It was a concern at the time but really hasn't affected us. We've had some plumbing issues which were from the assembly process. In your case the previous owners would have surely taken care of those. Our awning LED lights stopped working so I replaced those myself. After the first year there is no support from the manufacturer anyway. I say buy it and enjoy it!

I have a Evergreen 235RB I-Go pro that I bought in July of 2016 right after they went out of business. Best purchase I have ever made. I got it for $16,900 plus tax. We love it. When we got it home, I did have minor assembly items that were easy to address such as:

1) there were some small plastic shivers from where they cut that water lines that were in the lines that wound up behind the screen of the faucet of the sink. I removed the screen, washed them out, and it corrected it.

2) One of the screws that bolts the shower stall to the wall was missing and I had to put a screw in it.

3) On the black tank flush, someone had installed the check valve in the wrong direction. Easy fix.

Other than that, I have had zero issues with anything on the camper. We have put a little over 10K miles on it so far. I'm still on the factory china pop tires although I plan on replacing them at the end of the year.

For just me and the DW, it has the best floor layout that we could hope for. I would do it all over again. Good luck with yours!

Happy Camping!

I still get factory support 3 years after purchase and can call and ask for drawings and schematics as well as repair tips if needed. I can also pay for them to work on my unit if I don't wish to do it myself. Just because they don't pay for your repairs does not mean all factory support stops after a year. Be sure to post a pic of your new trailer. Hope you have many great trips with it.

Evergreen 2012 Everlite 30 RLW

We bought our rig this year with 33,000 miles on it to launch full time living in it. We are happy with it and relied on the reputation of Evergreen for its solid construction and superior materials used in manufacturing.

Our only issue is finding replacement windows for 2 windows where the dual panes are clouded. I’m hoping someone on the forum can advise the window manufacturer. The Swintek slides can get a little fussy but they work better now that I relubricated with dry silicone.
