Just curious. Whatever works for you.

Brad, when I bought our 5er, the service guys at KCRV Center mounted ours in the closet also.
Don't know if they offer dual remote readouts

For the first 3 years of RV ownership ('17-'19), I was a driver and spent every night somewhere new. Due to my unfamiliarity with boondocking in each area and the fact that my RV-770 was programmed with RV parks, I used it to locate most of my campsites.

But I've scratched that itch, most of my future will be spent in the desert southwest (spring/fall/winter) and in the mountains during the hotter months. Both of those locations have a bounty of boondocking available so I'll rarely be in an RV park going forward = no hook ups - the surge protector will rarely be used.

Sounds like yo have got this figured out. You sound like a good candidate to join my club. We call it the 50 / 85 club. When it gets belong 50 we head south. When it gets to be 85 we head north.

I like yer numbers - below 50* and the furnace keeps me up half the night.

TB673 - 'someday' I'll look into dual remotes, it wouldn't cost much (I think) and would be the best of both worlds.
