Not to be a wise guy but buying the rig is the easy part.........

Once you get settled in and "THINK" you have everything you need - - there is always something else!! LOL

Back in the day, we called it "nickled & dimed" - today it is more like "Twentyed and hundreded".

Don't want to scare you - just a little reality check and please know - - you don't need it all at once - - go for the basics - TP & food are basics!!!

Enjoy - - camping is great, I know you'll enjoy it!

Good advice. We got quoted $450 initially and later found a policy for $68 a year. Same coverage minus personal belongings.

A friend of mine bought a new camper last year and asked me what else he needed. I told him to start with about $2,000 and an Amazon account. He thought I was kidding.

The cost term I like for RV/MHs is "coach bucks", I.E. A thousand buck. In the motorcycle world we have For Harley Davidson "Hunnert Dollars" and BMW "Bring More Wallet". What's a good one for RV's in general . . .

That's exactly what we have found to be the case, and exactly what I told a good friend of mine that is currently shopping for a trailer. We keep a notepad in the trailer for a list during each trip for stuff we "need" for the next trip. It seems we can't get out of Walmart without spending $100 every time.

I was there a year ago.
Ditto to a lot of what has been said that you will need.
I would say we easily spent an extra $3000 equipping the trailer. Honestly a lot of it was pretty essential stuff. I'm probably another $500 in to it this year. Just got a tire pressure monitor system, oxygenics shower head, and a few other items. But.... it's still cheaper than fishing!!!! My long time passion.
