I made one that fits on my trailer frame. Very handy and easy to use.

I put a Hitchport bracket on my trailer frame. https://www.amazon.com/Hitchport-Hit.../dp/B078T1C8GM
Simple and works just fine. Probably a great profit margin for the inventor as it is about 20 cents of steel and self tapping screws. I had been putting it in my basement storage but that is quite small on my toy hauler and I was also beating the heck out of the door frame causing latching problems. I do still leave the weight bars there. They make a bracket for those too, but I'm out of real estate on the frame.
I don't leave my hitch in any more for several reasons. One, I hate bruised shins.
Two, my truck has the multi-function tailgate that will get dented if you use the step portion with the hitch in.
Three, people drive like idiots even in parking lots and I have a fear of someone clipping the hitch sticking out and spinning the truck into something else causing more damage.

I welded a 2" I.D piece of scrap tubing to the underside of the A frame on the curb side. Makes it real easy to remove the WDH and slide it into the holder on the TT's a frame. Not much bending over and it's out of the way. Drilled a hole in it so it can be locked with a hitch pin.

Me too.
When I drove my big lifted Chevy I had a 13" drop hitch on it to tow my cargo trailer. I left it on all the time so when I get ass ended they don't go way under the truck Click image for larger version
