Started with a canvas tent, back in the 70s, the ones you cant touch inside if its raining. Finally got a

Pop Up, lasted a couple of years then sold and bought a

Star Craft TT with twin beds, (I added a side rail system) for the kids. We slept on the drop down table top! (I was a lot younger then!)

Divorce and fast forward 15+ years

Another TT for about two years (sold the S&B and hit the road as a loner).

Met M and merged into our current '01 Class A twelve years ago living on the road for five of those years!

Last year I got a Back Pack and tent and did a couple of overnights!

This spring I did 300 Miles of Appalachian Trail with 35 pounds on my back!! Appalachian Trail Thru Hike (MARCH-2013-SEPT) . . . . . . Trail Name -Two Stix Bronchitis set in and I had to leave the trail and get back to AZ.

Looking forward to a six week outing to the PNW about mid Aug.

It's been a great ride!

Started with tent and Volare station wagon. For 10 years.
Moved on to a topper on a 4 cylinder Ranger. For 6 years.
Then took a 24 5th wheel home with the 4 cylinder, and then bought a 6 cylinder Ranger and pulled same unit 3 years. Moved on to a 6.2 diesel with less power but great fuel mileage for 3 more years.
On to a 33 ft 5th wheel and a 6.5l GM diesel. Great truck while towing 9 years 50% overloaded.
On to the present 39ft 5th wheel towed with the F250 STD 6.0l diesel.
My towing mileage is now equal to the previous Ranger pulling the 24ft unit. While empty mileage is similar to the Ranger
Very satisfied with what we have since 2009. Plus we have made a vacation trip to Florida since the purchase of the first 5th every year. Never had any issues except ST tire failures. Fixed that with LTs.

Started with an Army surplus tent that came from my parents, I grew up sleeping in this tent. Then we bought a Coachman popup in the mid 80's, sold it & put in a in ground pool. Divorce & job move so we sold the house. I bought a 2 man tent, remarried & have now bought & used 3, 2 man tents for car camping & back packing with DW. Then we bought a used class A Coachman 34' with 2 slides, traded it for a 42' class A DP. We still use the tents. Just got back from a trip to the Black Hills using the tent.

In the early years of my first marriage we had a JC Penny tent for the 4 of us.

In the early 80's we purchased a mid-60's 16ft Kit companion TT. Pulled with a hot rodded '78 Ford Bronco (seemed like a 60" wheelbase). How did we not have issues pulling?

Lost it all in the divorce.

Remarried and inherited 4 new kids. We bought a used Palomino tent trailer w/ hard sides. Towed with a '98 Ford Explorer.

Kids are now gone. We saved our money and I'm proud to have paid cash for a used Tundra and a new Arctic Fox TT. I now know about WD hitches and sway control. God Bless the internet and forums like this.
