How To Repair Drill Holes

Just wondering how to repair holes on the exterior wall of a travel trailer. I have a CrusierRV FunFinderX 210UDS TT. I installed an aftermarket grab handle so the wife would have a easier time getting in and out. Lo-and behold she was coming down the stairs and the top of the handle came out of the wall. There was no major damage done that I can see just the holes that I drilled for the anchor screws. Now I'm trying to figure out how to repair these holes so that water doesn't get between the fiber-glass and the installation.

Most of the time at our shop this happened with a mirror. Those darn trees will jump right out and grab a mirror and rip it right off.
We would drill out a hole. Install a wooden dowel, using epoxy. Drill a pilot hole in the dowel and reinstall the mirror. Worked every time.

Without factory backing to support your aftermarket grab handle, adding a larger handle without some solid material to anchor to, isn't going to be satisfactory. You might look at the Torklift Glowstep with the optional handrail and see if that product will work on your trailer. https://www.torklift.com/rv/glowstep...on#accessories
