In need of weigh clarification?
I am on my way to Las Vegas, and decided to weigh my rig, truck and trailer,my truck is a 2019 chevrolet colorado z71 4wd diesel
OK ,i knew i was under all the weigh capacity of the truck, but my problem is that i want to know where is the weight of the trailer.
The dry weight of the trailer is 3760,i have 2 full 20# of propane 1 battery 48# and all my stuff, not much, i think around 200-250#,solo traveler, plus 1/3 water around 170#,WDH around 65#
Steer axle- 2600 lb
Drive axle-2940 lb
Tailer axle-3860 lb ??????
Gross weight- 9400 lb

I would think you would also need a separate weigh of just the truck. The difference in the drive axle weight should be your tongue weight. So trailer weight is the tongue weight plus the trailer axle weight.
However, when weighing the truck + trailer, I am not certain if you should leave the WDH hooked up or not, as I would expect it would shift weights around between axles.

If all you want is the trailer weight, just reweigh the truck without the trailer. Won't matter if the WDH was used or not, as the total weight for truck plus trailer, minus the truck weight, will by definition be the trailer weight.

You need three weights. Truck and trailer with WD hooked up, truck and trailer with WD bars unhooked, and truck alone. Once you know that, you can calculate tongue weight, as well as know if your WD is returning the correct amount of weight to the front axle of the truck.

Agreed, it takes all three weighs as described above. Weight of both truck axles from truck only pass subtracted from truck axles in pass with trailer but no WD bars attached is your tongue weight, finally, the difference in front axle weight in fully hooked up pass from front axle weight of truck only pass tells you how well your WD hitch is adjusted. The goal is to restore roughly 75% of the weight that is removed when you drop the trailer on without bars as in the second pass.

Thanks for your answers, the problem is that the trailer dry weight is 3760 and ready to camp is 3860.
I gess the rest of the weight is in the tongue,i have a weight safe hitch with a scale and the tongue is about 520-530,

Trailer 3860 is weight on the trailer axles ONLY
Tongue weight is not included
Weight on Truck front/rear axles with WDH hooked up and difference between truck F/R/ axle weights W/O trailer would be tongue weight
Tongue weight plus axle weight ====trailer total weight
