Installing Window Edge Weatherstrip

I'm trying to install new Window Edge Weatherstrip from SteeleRubber;
https://www.steelerubber.com/window-...57#70-3814-257
And having a hell of a time. Steele Rubber has all kinds of installation videos on their YouTube page https://www.youtube.com/@SteeleRubberProducts. But, they don't have one for this particular product.

They sent me a link to this video for a GMC motorhome that uses the same style rubber.

This video describes what a PITA the job is, and he uses a putty knife. But that doesn't work any better that the tuck tool I bought from Steele Rubber; https://www.steelerubber.com/scraper...ol-94-0110-294

I've jammed my knuckles twice now (drawing blood) fighting this. Anyone have a clue?

I bought some Glazing Bead from These guys:

https://www.pellandent.com/

Their instructions were to soak the Bead in HOT SOAPY water for 30 seconds.
This will soften and lubricate the rubber for the installation.

I can appreciate the soap aspect. I'll give it a try, but doing the size of window I have the rubber would cool down before I get a third of the way around. I'll put some soapy water in a spray bottle and use that to lube it up.
Thanks for the suggestion.

Thank you! This is one of those "why didn't I think of that" scenarios. The spray bottle with soapy water in it did the trick. I was able to get the rubber in with minimal cussing and swearing. Thank you again.

Lane,
Glad that it worked out!
By the way, the company referenced in post #2 have all sorts of RV window parts among other RV related items.
