Is a bunkhouse too small for adults

Lots of bunk beds are fine for adults. If they are built like Shaq then good luck with that.

There are a lot of bunk houses that are full size or a bit wider. For me, the height of the bunk or ceiling above would cause issues, but I'm a little claustrophobic. I had a Lance 2185 bunkhouse that has narrow bunks (28" or so) and I climbed in the bunk to close a shade or just to check it out and would start to feel confined.

We just bought an Outdoors RV with the full size bunks. I could probably sleep in a bunk that size, but if another person crawled in there with me, I don't care if it was a Victoria's Secret model, I might freak out...

I was happy to be able to make my wife understand, that we're buying the camper for us two and our 2 poochies, not for her grand children, sisters or who ever. This opened a whole new world of floor plans.
we decided for a rear kitchen floor plan, where we have 2 recliners and a couch in the middle. in case of emergency, they can sleep on the couch. we can let the table down (which will never happen anyway) or we throw a air bed on the floor in the middle of the living room. in worst case- the recliners are also pretty comfy- I accidentally fell asleep and my wife left me there- woke up in the morning and was not hurt at all.
With other words- I'd rather buy what I like and if someone wants to stay, deal with the situation.

The bunks I have looked at would be uncomfortable for a older adult. We traded them for a bigger bath.

Our TT has a fold down couch that is also too small for an adult. If we need an adult bed we have to drop the dinning table.

Fortunately, we rarely need a second bed.
