Drive the truck onto some blocks either in the front or back, whichever is needed to get the trlr level front to rear.

I don't put stabilizers down when pulling out the slide at a pit stop. I think it's overkill and not necessary. Just go to any RV dealer and see if they have them down when slides are out. I couldn't remember from the last time I was on a lot, but I drive by a major dealer in my area every day on the way to work and I've looked, as well as looking online at pics of units offered for sale. Answer is they don't, probably because the hassle of having to up-and-down the stabilizers every single time they move a unit isn't worth the unlikely risk of anything going wrong. To each his own.

Jacks down with slides out portion of this thread came to mind when at a dealer the other day. Watched an employee using a tow motor to move trailers do so while the slides were out... hundreds of feet from service bay to bay which includes a downhill stretch to the road to cross to get to another service area.

IMHO, that would be a good reason not to buy any RV from that dealership!

I also observe that most dealerships have slides out without having jacks down. Makes me wonder how my coach was handled prior to buying it new. I saw two transport vehicles pulling travel trailers last week. We were all parked in the RV spaces at a casino. When the two drivers returned they took three cats from their vehicles and moved them to one of the trailers before departing. Again, it makes me wonder how my RV was handled. Just have to chalk it up to "the nature of the industry," I guess. No one will take care of my RV like I will.
