The Long, Long Trailer was a cute movie.

The Long, Long Trailer (1953) - IMDb

Especially interesting in that a trailer bordering on a mobil home is being towed by a convertible!

I prefer RV, it's unrealistic but more fun.

RV (2006) - IMDb

If you look close you'll see it has airplane nose gear up front to control the hitch weight. I always figured Dezi ran Air Lift bags to keep the TV level. I wonder if he had the 292ci or 312 CI in that rig? The 292 came out in 55 and the 312 in 56. He may have the 239 or 256!

It's a towing dolly. In the movie, after they purchase the trailer, he talks with a mechanic about why he needs it.

I just LOVE that movie. All the rocks she collects, I love picking up rocks! Oh the laughs.
