Looking at a Shadow Cruiser S-280QBS

Hey yall, so i was at an RV show this morning at our towns fairgrounds and the wife and I fell in love with this Shadow Cruiser S-280QBS. We have two small children and the rear quadbunk is awesome with their own little dinette back there for coloring or whatever. Its the perfect RV for us and we are trying to decide whether we want to take the leap now or wait 1 more year and pay down other debt. My truck is a Chevy 2500hd with the big block so it wont even know its behind it. I was wondering peoples opinions on these travel trailers? I spent about an hour inside this one and the workmanship seemed really good for the price. I did some searching on here and have only found a few people with just small issues that seems like any travel trailer could have. Any thoughts or advice is greatly appreciated!

We have had one for 2 years and I have been happy with it overall. I had a few warranty issues (slide alignment caused floor scratch) but nothing crazy. I have 2 small kids and they love the back play area. I only wish I had bought the next size up when we got ours.

I looked at this model as well. As you say, seemed nice for the price and we liked the floorplan. There are several other bunkhouse TTs with the little dinette in the back from other manufacturers.
My main advice to your question is the debt sucks and cuts into your camping and gas budget, so if you can wait on the camper, do so.
Part two of that is, take your time camper shopping (While you pay off debt) because there are a lot of great campers out there and some dealers are far away. We shopped actively for six months, and at the end, the Shadow Cruiser was off our short list. Not because it's bad, we just found others we liked better.

You also see a lot of features and options during this shopping process that you are not even thinking about now. There may be a "must have" feature that the Shadow Cruiser does not have... you just don't know it yet.

I have the same trailer and while it's a good trailet there are a lot of things held together by staples that should of had screws. With that being said we love ours. I just went and got some screws and 90 brackets to strengthen everything up. The main ones is both dinnet. Like said above make sure to look at multiple to make sure you get what you want. The bathroom is a little small after spending 2 weeks in it.
