LP Detector...

When the wife and I purchased our TT two years ago (used) the LP detector didn't work. I'm thinking it is bad. There is no light on it. I haven't checked to see if it had power. However, it's nearly 16 years old and I'm thinking it served it's time.

Just wondering if I should replace the in the cabinet unit to keep it looking OEM or should I get a plug in style?

Any idea where I could get one???

If I had that problem, I would only replace the defective unit with one that operates on 12vdc.

One thing to check is that it hasn't been disconnected to save the batteries when parked up for a long time. They draw around 100mA which is enough to flatten a battery in a few weeks.

Yes, you probably need a new one
