Lubricating rack and pinion on slider

I just bought a used 2010 30 ft Puma and am trying to lubricate everything that needs it. This come to the slider. Do I need to lube the rack and pinion mechanism under the unit. If so what do I use. It seem grease would collect dirt.

Welcome,

I have used silicone spray on rack and pinion gears for 4 years. Also on step pivot points.

They also make regular RV slide out lube.. I found it on sale, at a Wally World a couple of years ago.. Works good and doesn't collect dirt. I also use silicone lube, when I have it.
