Lubricating window tips.

The sliding windows in my Winnebago are a bear to slide open and closed at times. I use the 3M window lubricant that gives me two or three days. Then it’s difficult again. I’m staying in the trailer longer than most (4 months). Is there anything better out there? My bedroom has the push out type that takes all of two seconds to open and close and wonder why the whole trailer isn’t like that. Your thoughts are appreciated.

A silicone lube will not attract dirt or harm rubber as long as it has no petroleum product. Check MSDS sheet. Depending on the push out window it may well be an escape window.

I should have said it was 3 and 1 lube. I believe it is a silicone and when I mentioned the push out window I was saying I wish they used that type for all the windows. The sliding type are difficult to deal with.

Unless your rig is relatively new, consider trying to move/remove the glass so you can check for dirt, caked lubricant, or just the general condition of the tracks ad looking closely for any places of possible binding.

If by "3-in-1" lubricant you actually mean 3-in-1 oil, I'm pretty sure that is light machine oil which can and will attract dirt and contaminates.

The dry lube intended for sliding windows should be the best one to use.

I also have trouble sliding my windows, even after using dri slide. When I first spray the felt window slides, they move faster than a pickle down a chute--but after a few days, the slide slows to the speed of congress. Actually, the windows stick enough to shift the rubber casing around.
Any ideas??

No I mean 3 and 1 brand rv window lubricant. It’s supposedly highly regarded, but like the next poster said works fine for a couple days. The TT is a 2019 and has always been this way. It’s a pain when the days are warm and the nights cold when you have to open and close the windows daily.
