Mattress Topper

Hi guys,

I recently bought an E Pro 16BH. We will use the dinette (54 X 82) as the queen bed.

Obviously sleeping on top of the 6 cushions wont be the ideal surface - can you help us in advising which mattress topper would work best? Something that can be rolled and stored (maybe in the tow vehicle) - each night.

I'm completely green (noob) when it comes to making up the beds - including sheet sizes! lol

There are a lot of mattress choices but a typical queen size mattress is 60" by 80" so would not fit. Most RV queen size mattresses are 60" by 75"so still may be a problem. None of those would roll up for storage anyway so I suspect that your best bet is probably an inflatable mattress, but the width may still be a problem.

I just went and looked at your floor plan and it appears that the mattress width really isn't a serious problem as it could overhang to the inside as the length is across the trailer so an inflatable mattress of standard queen size should work.

We used a 4 inch thick memory foam cut to size . I cut the foam with a sharp knife very easy. Its not that heavy and could easily be moved to your tow vehicle. We had a class B winnebago paseo and left the bed made up . The pad made it much more comfortable.

Foam toppers are easy to cut with an electric knife, like you would use in the kitchen. I'm sure there are you tube videos on doing that. If you want to get really fancy, you can order custom mattresses in a variety of thicknesses from places like mattressinsider.com. I think they do custom sheets as well, and I've heard of people ordering custom-sized fitted sheets from Etsy.
