The best RV Park i can recommend on Holidays is where it's parked in my back yard ! Would never even think of venturing out on major holidays. But then again i'm, a gizzer , unfortunately not retired yet.

We generally try to avoid the holidays and just stay home. But this year we wanted to catch a State Park before the holiday and then continue with some new parks we have not been to after the holiday. I calculated it would be cheaper to just stay 2 days in a private RV Park than to go home and sit for a few days and then continue. So, we will leave here on Saturday and drive only a few miles to a private RV park and then continue after the holiday.

That should be a beautiful trip. I remember driving from Grants Pass to Crescent City on highway 199 many years ago. Simply gorgeous.

Can you recommend any nice RV parks around there? I'm looking for a spot we can go to for long weekends. Must be dog friendly.

We are meeting up with the Cape Codders at Second Beach, Sachuest Point Road in Middleboro RI. This will be a "dry camping" experience, I think there will be several dozen members meeting there in a spacious parking area right adjacent to the beach. I know there's a big tent going up for socializing and a lot of great food is planned. Not sure about much else, this will be the first time for us with this group.
We are very excited about meeting the other members. We are all set with generator exhaust pipe extension kit. We can easily handle 4 days out but that's about our limit based on tank size.
Weather looks iffy but at this time of year, it's expected. Anything can happen weather-wise.

If I was going anywhere, I would already be there and would not be coming home till tues of next week. But, I am staying home to BBQ with neighbors. The trick is to stay home when the crowds go and go when there is no holiday.
