Mod on the trailer shower ?

So after a long winter and cold one I got in the trailer to see any possible winter issues. Fortunately no water, bugs or critters!!!

But noticed a small crack in the shower wall where the shower wall small round tacks attache the insert to the trailer walls.

Short term I can silicon the crack to make it water tight. But long term we like to remove the shower pan and replace it with the so call "tub". Only for the reason to help keep the water in the tub and not in the bathroom.

So my questions has anyone done this before?

How difficult will it be to remove the walls and pan?

Will the drain line up from the pan to the tubs normally, will I need to
replumb the drain?

I have read to replace the wall from pan to ceiling with the fiberglass/vinyl sheets. The silicon them from leaking.

Any tips will be helpful.

Thank You

I had to pull the shower pan on our last trailer due to lack of support when standing on it (flexed too much).

Wasn't very hard, had to remove walls and then the pan. Walls were easy, since they used special fasteners to attach to the wall framing.

As far as drain goes, I replaced a badly cemented abs drain connection with a rubber one from HD, worked great. Added more supports for standing, and put all back together. No silicone required since there is overlap on the pan.

Great little project for someone handy.
