Mounting an Outside TV

I would like to mount a removable outside TV bracket. What should I use to seal the screws, silicone?

Thanks,

Unless the metal is protected from the elements it would probably rust. If you were to install the mount inside an outside storage bay that had enough room you could put a swivel mount or slide out mount and silicone would be my choice but I might spray the screws with some rust inhibitor just to be sure.

Opps, forgot to state the surface is gel-coat.

Don't use regular silicone from the hardware store. Buy some ProFlexRV sealant, drill the holes, put some of the ProFlexRV sealant in the hole, then install the screw. It comes in clear, white, offwhite, and brown I believe. I bought and used the clear when I installed my rear view camera. You should be able to find it at RV dealers, and Amazon also sells it. It's about $16 a tube on Amazon, but it's cheap insurance and the right product to use, whereas silicone is not.

Thanks for the info. I had planned to coat the screws but wasn't aware of ProFlex. I may even coat the screw heads for good measures.
