Yea kind of like folks talking about the heat they live or tow in. Went up to No. Cal. a few weeks ago. They were saying how hot it was 100-105. I said it feels nice compared to the 122 we had just come from where we lived.
If it isn't over a 7,000' + pass you don't have mountain roads.
Steep grades are all over the US. High elevation & lack of o2 is out west.

The whole TT vs. 5th wheel debate with respect to wind resistance went around on a thread recently and the opinion of some pretty smart folks was that the 5th isn't much different, if any for the same weight. Yes, it's taller but it's also closer to the truck so the two travel more as a single unit. The air being thrown over the front of a truck hits the front face of the TT and really causes a drag. I'm paraphrasing from what I remember but it makes some sense to me.

Basically, it's closer than a lot of people think for a given amount of weight.
Fantastic insight.

You've got some pretty good grades in Georgia; enough to warrant truck run away ramps.

I've went from a 32 ft TT to a 36 ft fifth wheel and actually have an increase in fuel mileage of about 1.5 (Duramax diesel)
