Murphy Bed Mattress

Has anyone replaced the cheap 3 in mattress with a 10 in. short queen? Will it close? We have the Jayfeather 23MB and must replace that piece of .... with a real mattress.

How thick is your current mattress? Does it fold? I have a new memory foam mattress on its way from Plushbeds.com for our pull out sofa. The sofa folds then tucks away , its a 5" thick new one (4" thick old one). I have high hopes its going to make it useable for more then one night.

We replaced the original Murphy Bed mattress in our 2020 Primetime Tracer with a memory foam mattress from Amazon. I trimmed the segments to size with an electric bread knife. It's super comfortable and the new mattress fits in the original covers (3 segments).

We have a murphy bed with folding matress and this looks like a great solution.

We also have the same question, and we're newbies. We have a Rockwood Mini w/ murphy bed. It tips all the way up w/o folding. We are looking for a new mattress, help please.

I have a forest River Salem with a Murphy bed. I bought a RV Queen 10" foam mattress from Amazon. The bed would NOT fold up. I replaced it with a 7" foam RV Queen 74"x54" mattress from Amazon. It works great!
