Need new thermostat

We currently have a pretty low grade thermostat in our camper, see the picture. We want to replace it but not sure which thermostat we can replace it with that as an upgrade and no changes are necessary to the air conditioner any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I will lurk on this thread as I also would like to know what fancy thermostats can be used with a 12v system.

I would look at a upscale 5th wheel to see what thermostat they are using. Or google Dometic thermostats to see what is available.

I don't really know of you can use a residential thermostat from Lowes or Home Depot or not.

I just installed a Micro-Air EZ-Touch.

It is Bluetooth and Wifi enabled and can be operated from your smartphone.

If you have wifi onboard your RV (LTE Modem or hot spot) you can control the thermostat from anywhere.

Back in 2007 I changed the OEM Analog Thermostat to a Residential Digital Thermostat from Walmart
Hunter and Honeywell were common swaps

Today....lots of choices

OP
What year is your TT?
What A/C Unit Brand?
What Furnace Brand?

What is wrong with that Soft Touch LCD digital thermostat?
What are you looking to 'improve' upon?

Oh yes. I was a little stunned by the price also, but it was RV ready for multiple RV A/Cs.

It was made to operate up to 4 AC units, runs on 12VDC control voltage (household ACs/thermostats are usually 24VAC), and for Dometic ACs, it was a very simple unplug the RJ11 jack from the back of the old thermostat, and plug it into the EZ-Touch.

On top of all that, it got me the remote functions over Bluetooth and Wifi that I was looking for.

Pricey. . . Yes! . . . but I got a lot of ease and convenience for that money.

You'll just have to decide what's right for you.

I was going to order the Micro Air thermostat but I need 2 and that is a lot of coin. So I got two of these and they work great and are a lot cheaper ($110 each):

Not sure I need the wifi capability, but I might. If I do, I will have to upgrade (again).

Do you have 12v power at the thermostat.
If the thermostat you have is run by batteries like AA or AAA batteries and you don't have a 12vdc source it might not be worth it to run the 12vdc to the thermostat.

Airexcel who makes the Coleman Mach has digital thermostats available. Direct hookup wire for wire, no mods needed.

I have the same thermostat and was told because there are only 3 wires that there is not a replacement for it. I have checked with a bunch of rv repair shops and that is what they telll me. Had to replace the original one already and the 2nd one is working great.
