New camper input
Hi All,
I am new to this forum and a looking to finally get a travel trailer camper!
My wife and kids are tired of packing our tents and canopys away! lol
Anyways, this past weekend, I was able to get out and look at a few campers. The camper that I choose will be placed a at seasonal site and wont be moved once there. We have a pretty big extended family so I thought getting a Bunk House camper would work best.
I looked a some entry level campers and thought what some of yall think.
Here are the three that I am looking at and I will end up getting one of these.
2020 HEARTLAND PIONEER DS320
2020 COLEMAN COLEMAN LANTERN 314BH
2020 HEARTLAND MALLARD M312
Not sure which one ill pick but those are my top 3, any input or questions would be greatly appreciated.

The general consensus usually is to pick the one with the layout you like best. Especially the one your wife likes best.
Happy wife, happy life.

In fact, this is too individual a question. You can see the reviews on YouTube and, depending on your preferences, choose a trailer. After all, someone can advise what does not suit you

PIONEER and COLEMAN are both more entry level campers vs Mallard which is a more top end camper. The Mallard will have power stabilizer jacks, nicer interior, painted front cap, central vaccum, etc but it's going to cost a lot more per square foot. Whether these features matter to you will come down to what you are looking for and budget.

Do your homework. Some manufacturers are better than others as far as warranty claims and even being able to call someone who can give you basic information, let alone ask for a wiring diagram or wall framing info in case you want to add a tv or a slide topper. Do they use real plywood in the floors or some kind of thin Luan sandwich that flexes when you walk on it and will dissolve if it gets wet? Is it full of particle board that also gets soft and mushy when it gets wet?
I researched for about a year before I purchased and found the owners forums on this site to be very revealing. If you read the same complaints again and again you know the likelihood of having that same issue. And having great factory support is more important than dealer support. Dealers ALL say they will take good care of you but few offer anything like good customer service. Once they have your money they could care less.

You think about buying a 'Park Model' trailer? They will be nicer than just about any travel trailer.
Look at the Jayco Bungalow to get an idea.
A park model can be towed short distances if needed but it is not a travel trailer. It is built to be stationary. What I like about a park model is the higher ceiling and bigger everything.
There are probably a dozen or more Park Models to choose from.
