New Tires #3

After measuring a 205-75-15 tire, i don't think we have the clearence, so going to stay with the 14'. After a lot of sherching, i found a D rated 14",at a affordable price, Kenda Karrier's, always thought Kenda made good tires, any opinion's please on this tire ?? Yes i know of Goodyears and Maxis, just not in the pocket book at this time .
Many Thanks

I would think that if you don't have an additional $172 for decent tires, you might want to park the trailer till you do.

I swapped out my OEM China bombs to the Maxxis 8008's (14") on my last tt ( 2013 Aerolite) about 18 months ago. After about 22,000 miles on them they still look new. ( including a 14k trip to Alaska last summer). Much better sidewall stiffness for a more stable ride. The Maxxis were only about $10 per tire. Got mine at the national chain Discount Tire.

If you are stuck with the 14 or 15in size MAXXIS is the way to go. Goodyear has some new trailer tires out that are supposed to be good. There are not enough out yet to tell the whole tale. Depending on the weight of your trailer you could actually do pretty well with a P rated car tire, but I don't know how heavy you are.
The Kenda tires are best on a lawn mower trailer

For a set of 4 Goodyear Endurance tires, you will shell out about $500+ after you get them mounted and balanced. The Maxxis tires will be a little cheaper but not by much.

He does have a point. You came on the forum and did multiple threads on basically the same topic. It sounds like you want someone to reassure you that running what most folks consider a sub-par tire is OK. If that is what you want to do, it's your RV, equip it however you like. But I would think by now you would be getting the idea that most folks on here are running Goodyears or Maxxis or have upgraded to a LT truck tire. That's what others have found to work the best and provide the greatest degree of reliability and performance. Folks are giving you their honest, unbiased opinion based on their experience in the area. You can word the question anyway you like, but the answer won't change. The price difference isn't that much, save up a little more and get a quality tire for yourself. Or, slap on whatever you can get the best price on and keep your fingers crossed. It might work out great for you. Best of luck, happy RVing!
