I do not have any specific recommendations but some more considerations.

What type of climates do you plan on living in? This will determine what level of insulation you need along with heating and cooling systems. In cold climates you can easily go though a 5gal bottle of propane in a day or two.

I know people do this all the time. But you need to be aware of things you never consider in a normal residence.
