Power Trailer Dolly

My new house has too tight a turning radius to comfortably back my boat trailer (and future travel trailer) into. Thinking about a power trailer dolly to maneuver the trailer into its parking spot. Any recommendations from experienced users?

Used power pullers on light aircraft, then on boats later in life
Never needed it for a TT, but same idea.

The electric ones (battery or plug-in) are SO EASY to use and store.
The gas powered ones are fine, but need to routine maintenance of a lawnmower.

Put some thought into the tire type on the dolly. They come in many types from tires best for a flat warehouse floor...to balloon tires with tread needed for dirt and gravel surfaces.

An alternative is a lawn tractor (use like an airport tug). If you have a big lawn, it can serve double duty and make lawn care a much easier activity. Put some thought into capacity, because not all rider mowers can pull a trailer.

Best luck.

I use the PC-2 for my boat trailer although at this point, I don't use it much. May be selling it.

No experience but have thought about it. I will put a battery tender on it to make sure that battery was always charged. On YouTube they sure make moving boats and campers look easy.

I made a dolly out of a power unit from a wheel chair, and it is indispensable in turning my car trailer 90 degrees to the driveway. It runs on 12V and I just connect an extension to the motorhome coach batteries. However, a big issue is the difficulty in turning any two-axle trailer. While you may not be ably to do this, I jack the front of my car trailer way up, then put restricting links on the back axle so the tires come off the ground when I lower the front of the trailer. This makes it MUCH easier to maneuver.

Check on a 2” receiver hitch for the front of your truck. Reasonably priced and makes parking a trailer in a tight spot very easy.

Used (barely) Power Trailer Dolly

Before I go any further with this post I must ask: Is there a "For Sale" column on this site? I am a member but have never felt the need to sell anything RV-related. I would appreciate any guidance.

I have a high-end electric trailer dolly I'd like to part with....
Thanks!

Yes, there is a classified section:

Main Index - RV & Motorhome Classifieds

At the very top of the home page for the forums if you read it states "classified"
