home insurance companies usually stop writing new insurance when named storms are in the area, wonder if rv insurers are the same.....I would guess yes but don’t know

We parked on leeward side of building when Michael eye passed over at 75 mph, worked ok for us. If anything higher was expected I would roll out and run before storm hits!

Having seen the damage that can be caused by a major storm and seen on TV the total destruction of entire towns I am happy that my RV has wheels. As soon as I know of a pending storm, I'm making plans. You won't catch me riding out an Andrew or other cat 4-5 storm.
Chicken? You bet and proud of it.

Yes I know the media blows it all out of proportion so I do my own analysis inc checking the hurricane centre. Easy to do. Even have apps for it.

I really appreciate all of the replies. We were okay in the NOLA area. One of the complicating factors is that my RV is parked under a pole barn 100 miles northeast of where I live. I did find some fairly stout ground anchors at Tractor Supply.
