Exclamation Propane Regulator Recall

Hi Travel Trailer Warriors!

Thought I'd share this article about some recalls related to propane regulators.

If you are curious to chat about propane safety, I'd be happy to answer any questions.

Happy Camping!

Same Winntec LP Reg used on 87K Jayco Models 2017-2020

RV LP System after Reg is 11"WC --that is just 0.4 psi
Inlet to Reg can be 100#-250# depending on ambient air temps

LP Reg SHOULD lock up at 14"WC (0.5 psi).....any higher psi and the LP Gas Valves on water heater/fridge can be damaged
*Stove top/Oven has a separate Reg that controls to 10"WC (0.36 psi)
*0.5 psi is the MAX pressure LP System should be exposed to

Neither Recall states the pressure when the Winntec Reg fails

If you have a Keystone/Jayco or have a Winntec LP Reg get rid of it ASAP

I just learned about a recall with some of the regulators on the Jayco. I had to replace mine while traveling out west this summer only to find out that it may have been replaced for free. I got a copy of my buddies paperwork he got in the mail with his Jayco recall so I'm going to see if I can get some form of reimbursement. Unfortunately, I threw out the old one because I had no use for it, not knowing there was a recall that would potentially affect mine. Maybe my VIN number will offer some assistance in finding out what they installed on my rig.
