What is your tow vehicle and camper? Maybe your tow vehicle is not rated or has enough hp and torque for towing your camper. Upgrade tow vehicle.......... problem solved. I had that problem towing my tandem axle water ski boat and solved that problem by trading it in for a larger tow vehicle. Same issue with towing my fifth wheel trailer with a 3/4 ton short bed truck so purchased a 1 ton, crew cab, long bed, diesel, DRW tow vehicle.

I had one little truck that was always going uphill. With a bigger truck you will feel more at ease and will be going downhill.

Towing into a headwind is like going up hill.

I towed north and south a lot. One time I was towing into a 25 mph headwind. That was like going uphill.

Too funny, I live half way between Knoxville and Asheville, at the bridge over the lake/French Broad River.

Funny you mention that stretch, this is the only place I experience what the OP stated and it doesn't matter if I'm towing or just driving it without the trailer.

We travel through the mountains there frequently and it always messes with me......

Asheville to Knoxville is downhill. But, living in Asheville, we have to go uphill in any direction to cross the Pisgah mountains. On another note, it seems I’m always going uphill when I’m close to running out of fuel.

It's hard not to get that feeling when you are moving a 8'x8' wall at 60 MPH.

This is why I recommend drinking and driving. You don't know which way you're going and you won't care.

I used to have this nightmare every night. I would dream about wigwams and teepees. Every night. Wigwams and teepees. So I finally went to the doctor. After he check me out...he said "You're too tense".

There are quite a few websites that would try to convince you the world is flat..
Flat Earthers
Library of Congress - Flat earth and its advocates
BTW, what happened to the OP? I didn't read any responses from them.
