Pull handle

They door help handle that folds close on the door has a rubber sleeve on it. When the sun shines on the door the sleeve gets stuck to the door and the rubber melts to the door. Is this handle suppose to touch the door? I tried to put a spacer on it to push it away from the door with no luck. I called the RV dealer and you can guess where that went

I had 2 fivers with the assist , and believe the rubber touched the door, I did have issues with the rubber , deteriorating over the years, but never melting to the door. If this is happening when the unit is in storage, I'd try wrapping the handle in a white towel.

I've never had a melting issue. But I didn't like the rubber grip so I removed them and wrapped the handles with a poly-something or other cord. I secured and hid the two ends using secret knot tying techniques I learned as a Boy Scout.

I would go to Home Depot and buy some of that insulation tubing that you put on pipes. The come in all sizes and you could cut it down the middle and just slip it on when you are out camping.
