I have 225/75 R15. What tires do you guys recommend? I keep hearing about Goodyears but according to my dealer, the distributors don't have any nationwide.
Anyway...suggestions?

Keep looking for the Goodyear tires. Ditch the China Bombs.

I had a set of loadstars that I liked real well. I'd say Kenda would be good as well. Two things that kill trailer tires IMHO is underinflation and speed. I always go at least one load range up from required and find the highest speed rating I can.

What are on there now are Westlakes. They are in great shape but still made in China....

I just had the Goodyear endurance tires installed at discount tire about three weeks ago. They ordered them and got them in two days. They said since they’re made in the us there isn’t any supply problems. Sick calls from covid could be affecting them but I’d wait it out. I give them a big thumbs up after the factory tires.

Westlakes are OEM on many trailers. I have them too. From what I’ve read, they are one of the best Chinese tires. After one year and 9,000 miles, mine show no signs of any kind of distress. So, I plan to keep them another year, or 10,000 mi and replace with Goodyear. Mine have a low “C” load rating, so I’ll probably go up to D when I replace.

The only poly carcass ST E/D/C tire I would recommend would be a Provider....Goodyear Endurance...Carlisle HD in that order.
The Providers are one of the first higher speed rated tires to hit the street and first came on commercial trailers in the 2010 era with a good service record.
The Endurance and Carlisle HD are the latest ST class tire from their mfg in the '16-'17 era and both seem to have a good service record so far.

Tread depth ..... I've seen a few complaints on the Endurance 8/32" tread depth from rv and non rv trailer owners that see lots of miles per year. One enclosed trailer owner using the ST225/75-15 E tire was down to the wear bars in 15 months and 26k miles .
Now for those that make a few trips per year and don't travel but maybe 3-4k miles per year a thin tread ST tire works fine.

If you are having trouble finding the Endurance tires just order them from Goodyear on line and have them sent to your local Goodyear dealer. The local Goodyear told me three to four months for me to get five tires. Could be the result of the corporate office of the local chain only buying twice a year to get a bigger volume break.
Ordered from the site and five days later they got installed at the local dealer. Very satisfied.

I have the same size tires.

Got Goodyear Endurance tires from Discount Tire in October during the whole “nobody has them” phase. Ordered them and the store had them in a couple of days.

Going on year 2 with my Dynatracs. There were put on as part of the deal when I bought the rig. The PO tried for Goodyears, then Toyos, but nothing was available. He knocked a few bucks off for the brand X and off I went. I have no complaints with them. It’s only been 2 years so we will see what this year brings.

Our Westlakes went exsctly 5 years , then had tread separate on one. Entire tread came off eithout ever losing air/going flat. The tread damaged the camper trim, etc. They were always inflated to the proper pressure, never overloaded, and always covered when stored so the separation wasn't due to misuse or neglect.

Should have replaced sooner, but thought could go the summer of the fifth year and then replace...nope. [emoji846]

Replaced with Goodyear Endurance...happy with them so far.

Maxxis 8008 tires have served me well , You can find them on amazonand Maxxis web site. Some of the date codes I got from amazon where almost a year old if you care. I run them 6 years and swap them out. I have had 5 sets between two trailers. THey are one of the better designed tires that are built offshore. depending on your axel exact weights you may want to look at LT tires. I had a 6 lug 5200lb rated axle under my Holiday Rambler and did a 16" tire and wheel upgrade to LT tires. That proved to be the best combo for weight rating and handleing (225/75/R16 load range E) , I just put BFG commercial TA tires on it like you see on millions of 250/350 ford vans.

Decided to get the bombs off my wolf pup 16fq. The trailer got a bit wobbly on my last trip and felt a slight separation on one of the tires. About 3k miles on them and they had a 19 date code.
Trailer pulls nice again after the change and running 65psi on them. Dealer had 20 in stocks. Took about an hour to install and balance.
