Roadside Assistance
Not sure if this is the right place but looking for a good roadside assistance insurance. The one I was using is discontinuing and want something good but affordable. Starting with the usuals I am looking at Good Sam and then I am headed to AAA. Would love to have some good direction, don't want one that will leave me for hours waiting on someone. Thanks for any feedback.

Check your auto or RV policy. You may be already covered under that. If not it may not be too expensive to add it.

Thanks but my insurance does not cover roadside.

Figure out how much roadside costs/year. Estimate how often you think you will use it.
In my case, for plans that would fit my needs, I would rather keep that money in my own account and pay out of pocket if I had a need. So far I am still ahead.

We had AAA on our TT. In second year, the premium jumped high enough that it made me sit down and re-think the whole idea of TT roadside assistance.
Since our TV already has roadside assistance in our vehicle policy, I’m thinking, what could go so wrong with the trailer that I couldn’t at least pull it off the road far enough to be out of collision danger until I went for help with our TV? My thinking was, the worst that could happen would be catastrophic tire failure. Trailer is small enough to pull it off the road on bare axles. So, we canceled our TT roadside assistance, and now believe that hiring a wrecker in the event of a catastrophe will be cheaper than a couple of years of roadside assistance premium. A fingers crossed decision.
If we were in a motorhome, it would probably make sense to get a policy.

I can see the logic in this but I think I would rather have the RS service. Flat tires are always in the back of my mind but there are a lot of other issues also that might make a flat tow expensive. Thanks for the feedback.

Right now I am leaning toward Good Sam, seems like everything I have compared are about the same and they have a sale going on.

FYI, that sale has been going since at least last September--they keep resetting the countdown clock. But of course you never know when they're going to stop resetting it.
