RV Remote

Rich,
The picture of your remote looks like mine. I have a 2016 Keystone Cougar 32FBS. Is there a way to change the passcode? We only used ours once last year and I can't remember our numeric passcode So I am hoping there is a way to change it?.

Tim,

You can change the passcode using the steps listed below. The owner's manual can be found here http://www.lci1.com/assets/content/s...ers-Manual.pdf

Hope this helps

Reset PIN Code
1. Press "Home" button to turn on the remote.
2. Press and release "Home" button five times.
3. Press "CONFIG".
4. The remote will ask to reset the screen lock PIN code.
5. Press "Yes"
6. The remote will display a message that the PIN has been reset.
7. Press "Home" button and press "Set PIN".
8. Enter a 4-digit PIN code.
9. Press "Save".
Note: To start programming over, push and hold the "Home" button for 5 seconds to turn off the remote. Push the "Home" button again to turn the remote back on and restart the programming procedure.
10. Press "Home" button.
11. When the keypad appears on the screen, enter the 4-digit PIN by pressing the corresponding numbers entered in Step 7.

Lippert does have a smartphone app called OneControl. When setting it up, you'll need to find your owners tag as it has the password required to pair your smartphone with the controller.

Tim,

You're welcome! I have the same remote, and never got any paperwork/manuals with the RV, so I was in the same spot as you until I tracked down the Lippert documentation.

The default password on that thing is 0000 (four zeros) unless you changed it previously. You've probably tried this already, but who knows. :-)

TVS,
Thanks for the reminder. I was just thinking that may have been it as well the other day. I will test that this weekend as well just in case I did not reset previously.

Thanks for the assistance guys.

Thanks I looked it up and and downloaded it but there's no tag or paper work on the system and when phone scans it does pick anything up also asks for a 6 number code

I think the password on the owner's tag should either be on the paperwork or on the receiver itself. I never got any paperwork on the system, so I'm hoping to find it on the receiver once I locate it.

May just need to contact the dealer or manufacturer to obtain the owner tag info.
