RV Travel Trailer Slide Types? Brands?

What are the different types / brands used on RV trailer slides. I have heard of Accu-slide and Schwintek. Not even sure what types are used on RV trailers and which are used on motorhomes. One has a aluminum rail attached to the outer lower side of each slide wall. The other is a cable system. I follow about 15-20 YouTube full timer channels, some buying new trailers. Some have had issues right from the start.

Which is best?

Lippert components makes a variety of different slide out mechanisms. I have the through the frame style on my trailer and it has been very reliable. Check out their web page for a description of the different types they have for different applications.

What I'm looking for are "Slide system brand names". so I can do research of ones that have issues. Were looking for a new RV trailer, and want to steer clear of ones with issues. Or what are the advantages or disadvantages of each type.

Heading out west, and want look at Arctic Fox and ORV, but I have no idea what slide system they use.

From what I've seen on another forum, the Schwintek has the most problems.....mostly motors not syncing up...they use 2 motors

northwood/orv both use schwintec on some of the smaller slides. i think it depends on the size and weight of the slide.
ours has a schwintec and has been trouble free. our last orv had a through the frame system that was also trouble free.
i asked a few different independent rv repair business technicians about slide system reliability. they all agreed.... the cable system sucks to work on and get right. then the cables stretch...
