Satellite Radio Install
Thought I would share a mod I did to my Rockwood 2204S TT to keep up with news, weather and sports plus endless music. I just added a Roady BT SiriusXM radio.
[Moderator Edit]
The prices have gone up slightly since I install mine-I ordered the radio a while ago but just put it in about 10 days ago.
I have been pricing sims cards/plans and satellite Internet for my TV but can’t pull the trigger on $40-80/mo since my TT sits for half the year. I negotiated a price of $3/mo for 3 years with Sirius-it was an offer they sent me for a car but I used it for my TT.
It sounds great and simply Bluetooths to my factory 12 volt TV.

I had XM radio on my Goldwing back on 06. Loved it. That was before Pandora came along.
Put the same unit in our 2013 5th wheel for a few years till we sold it and got our current TT. Now we have Dish and Pandora for camping. Loved the XM when it was the only music streaming media at the time IIRC. Still have it in our DD car.
$3 is a great deal. We just renegotiated after our trial ended and got it for $7.

Just back from camping at Lake Wenatchee State Park in Washington (heavily timbered) with excellent SatelliteXM radio reception. The antenna (larger trucker style) makes a difference. Most of camping we do is out of cell range so Sirius offers National news and weather 24/7, talk and music as compared to Pandora. Unfortunately Pandora and Internet through Dish or Starlink are way out of my budget-may use our TT 30 nights a year. But I certainly understand why a full time traveler or snowbird would need Internet and find duplication with Sirius radio.

I have Dish at home so it's only $7 more a month for my RV service. Of course you have to buy the equipment but there's plenty of used stuff out there for sale. Starlinks outta my price range too. No way am I paying $150 a month for sporadic use during the camping season.

Roady Sirius Radio
I don’t know what happened but my first post on this web site about this radio was censured (YouTube video I attached explaining a radio install was deleted so you lost all the install procedures and links to buy-policy against YouTube videos designed to generate revenue). Only I only use the YouTube to explain the install.
Best alternative is to show you a picture of the radio called a Roady BT which Bluetooths to my Connex TV. And if anyone is interested you can search on Amazon.
This little satellite radio for my TT is under $100 on Amazon and the Browning Trucker antenna I installed/bolt-on the ladder frame seems to work better than other vehicle antenna’s I own. It’s about $55 on Amazon and includes a nice long cable. I also purchased a 12 female plug that I used to splice into the 12 volt power behind the TV.
Install was straight forward-ran antenna behind microwave and up through TV cable holes on the roof behind the microwave. I cover antenna wire with 4” roof repair tape and caulked it.
